LITTLE BLACK DRESS is all about one girl, one dress and one city. For the Noah brothers that was always going to be about capturing the sheer individuality and always vital diversity – not to mention every cheeky turn and effortlessly bohemian moment – of their hometown of Melbourne.
Directors Dan and Bramwell Noah have worked in permanent collaboration in both theatre and film. They’ve re-imagined Shakespeare and the classics on stage. Dramatized the lives of such visionary artists as Frida Kahlo and Sylvia Plath. And their powerful human rights drama MASSACRE OF THE INNOCENTS achieved the twin distinction of “official selection” at The Golden Lion Film Festival and inclusion in the International Trade Fair Screening showcase. LITTLE BLACK DRESS is their debut feature.
Key collaborations saw fashion designers Brooke Hyrapiet and Brian Bonne come together to realize an incredible twin vision in the costume department. Head of make-up Samantha Pearcy meanwhile threw away the rule book to come up with show stopping designs perfectly matched to some drop dead gorgeous outfits and some right on time one liners. |
